Edward River Wetlands, NSW
Water Saved 7,100 ML (7.1 GL)
In 1998, State Forests of NSW implemented a water management program for the Edward River to alleviate water logging problems within the Millewa and Gulpa Island State Forests.
The program installed 27 regulators on anabranches of the Edward River. The final water saving resulting from the project was determined by the Murray Darling Basin Commission (MDBC) using the MSM BigMod river model to be 7.1 GL.
The saving is assigned to Water for Rivers until June 2008 when it will transfer to the Living Murray program.
